Lessons of Shame

In 1948, Costa Rica abolished its army and invested in education. Even so, 77 years later, schools were closed, leaving communities without access to learning. On the first day of school, World Vision turned the new Costa Rican Congress into a classroom.

In 60 minutes, the action created political discomfort, put education at the center of the national debate, and led to increased public investment. A class that changed everything.
